| RNSYC Members User Group |
Reminder! Please would RNSYC members who have registered for RNSYC.NET using a pseudonym check to see whether or not they are included in the RNSYC Members User Group. You can check by clicking on your entry in the Members List. If you don't see a box there saying User Groups: RNSYC Member, and if you want to be included in the club members' user group, please email or PM me with your full name and RNSYC membership number. I will then add you to the group. Unless you are included in the user group, you won't be able to access any content on the site restricted to RNSYC members only. |

| RYA East News |
RYA East is streamlining communications with clubs and individual members within the region. The quarterly newsletter RYA East News is being replaced by monthly short form news, directing readers to the regional website, with hot links to major stories. Copy and photographs can be downloaded free of copyright for use in club newsletters and websites and clubs can easily forward the links to members (and friends) via their own internal mailing lists. This will hopefully increase the overall coverage of RYA East activities and inform a far wider audience, as well as reducing the amount of paper used across the region! The wealth of support information now available through the RYA East website cannot be communicated effectively by newsletter -- information such as the latest pilotage data and NMs, for example, which can be accessed under Navigation Notes with a direct link with eastcoastpilot.com. As part of the communications overhaul, the website itself will be expanded and developed.
If you haven’t found it yet, the RYA East website is at www.ryaeast.org

| From the Photo Gallery |
If you open RNSYC.NET and find the Home Page all out of alignment, click the refresh button a couple of times. The problem will be that the random picture selector has hit on a video in the Photo Gallery, not a photo, and is trying to load the video viewer! This shouldn't happen too often, given there are only 5 videos in the gallery, but longer term I will try to sort it. By the way, you can click on the random photo in "From the Photo Gallery" and you will be taken to the corresponding gallery page. |

| RNSYC.NET User Registrations |
In the course of routine maintenance on RNSYC.NET my attention was drawn to a number of registered users who have not logged in for some considerable time. I propose now to delete these dormant user accounts, with the exception of any who are registered members of the RNSYC Members' User Group. Most of the site can anyway be accessed without the need to register and log in; registration is only necessary if you wish to contribute content to the site, or, as an RNSYC Member, require access to the RNSYC members-only sections. |

| Champion! |
Many congratulations to RNSYC member David Cowley Jr and his Lings Honda team, who clinched the 2009 Honda F4S 225hp Class Championship in the season's finale in the Isle of Man at the weekend, and in so doing became the first team to have won both the 150hp and 225hp Class Championships. 2009 marks the 10th Anniversary of Formula 4-stroke offshore racing, and the 50th anniversary of Honda Racing. More details can be found on the Honda F4S website (link below).
