The ‘NEW’ 2017 Racing Rules Explained

An evening with Sailing Legend – Michael McNamara Friday 17th March 2017  Food from 6.30pm – Talk starts at 8pm Dinghy legend Mike McNamara has so many world, national and European titles under his belt, in boats ranging from the Wayfarer to the National 12’S Who better to explain & illustrate the new rules of Racing than Mike McNamara with  an informalevening for sailors in Norfolk & Suffolk hosted by the Royal Norfolk & Suffolk Yacht Club (NON members of the RN&SYC VERY WELCOME),  but would any non-members attending please use the Royal Green car park – adjacent to the club. Food will be served from 6.30pm (Fish & Chips or Shepherd’s Pie & Peas).  There is a bar with beer, wine, lager etc and Michael’s lecture will commence at 8.00pm.  There will be a break after approx. 45mins to enable glasses to be refreshed..!!!  The evening is expected to finish at circa 10pm. There is NO CHARGE for admission, but a modest charge will be made for food – with drinks available at the Bar.  As this is expected to be a very popular evening – PLEASE BOOK EARLY  !!!

QUIZ NIGHT- 15th March, 19th April, 17th May Pit your wits against a distinguished Quiz Master.  Come on your own or with a team. £1.00 per person, Food Available from 18:00  First Question 19:30

BRIDGE CLUB / CLASSES Thursdays 14:00 All levels of Bridge enthusiasts welcome, classes available for beginners, £3.20 per person including Tea, Coffee and Cake. Please register your interest with the Club Office

BOOK CLUB Enjoy lively literary discussion over coffee and cake, 10:30 until 12:00. All Members welcome. Copies of the current book can be borrowed from the Club Office. First Thursday of each month unless otherwise notified Next date:- Thursday 6th April discussing “The Girl on the Train” by Paula Hawkins

CLUB WALKS  Short walks (to and from the Club, returning for lunch) on the third Wednesday of each month. Meet at the Club at 10.30am or earlier for coffee if required. 

The next walk is in the Oulton Broad area, for Wednesday 15th March. The walkers will meet at the Club at 10.30 then go by car share to Oulton Broad, returning to the Club for lunch.
