CLUB NEWS

AN INVITATION TO

WELCOME OUR NEW CHEF 

Friday 17th October  19:00- 20:00

An invitation to our Members to come and meet the Club’s new Head Chef Trevor Clark, Complimentary Drinks (Prosecco and Beer) along with taster canapé will be served. Dress Smart Casual

A menu sampler supper will be served afterwards
with a choice of either

Pulled Ox Cheek Cottage Pie with Olive Oil Mash served with a Red Wine Jus
or
Pan Roasted Fillet of Cod with Parsnip Puree and Parsnip Crisps

THE CLUB’S ‘NEW’ AUTUMN MENU IS NOW BEING SERVED  

Specially designed by our new Head Chef Trevor Clark and takes into consideration all the well known Yacht Club classics and new specially created seasonal dishes.We will also be presenting a wide variety of new Chef’s Specials which we will keep you informed of by email on a regular basis.

All levels of Bridge enthusiast welcome, classes available for beginners, £3.00 per person, Tea, Coffee & Cake included. Please register your interest with the Club Office – Thursdays 14:00

LUNCHEON CLUB –  Friday 17th October
A new regular event for our Members to get together with existing friends and make new acquaintances     12:30 for 13:00
Two Course set price Menu £12.50 including Tea and Coffee

TRAFALGAR NIGHT – Saturday 18th October **SORRY! THIS EVENT IS NOW FULLY BOOKED** Please contact the Office to be placed on the reserve list
Our speaker will be Professor Tim Carter of the Norwegian Centre for Maritime Medicine, University of Bergen, who was until recently the Chief Medical Adviser to the UK Maritime and Coastguard Agency and has been a special adviser to ILO and IMO, assisting with the revision of international guidelines on seafarer medical examinations.  He is also an amusing and highly witty speaker who will be offering an interesting take on physicians in Nelson’s Navy.  This will be a genuinely entertaining and interesting evening with all the ritual that goes so well with our Trafalgar Celebration

WINE & SPIRIT TASTING WITH ADNAMS – Friday 24th October
Adnams Wine guru Simon Richards will be giving his expert thoughts on his selection of Wines from around the World and Adnams Spirits distilled in Southwold .  These will be available to purchase at a 10% discount. A special Gin & Tonic made with Adnams Copper House Gin will start the evening off followed by three white wine and three reds each accompanied by a complimenting Tapas dish. We will be rounding off the evening with a Limoncello made with Adnams Copper House Vodka   19:00 for 19:30

LAYING UP SUPPER – Saturday 1st November

CLUB TALKS- Friday 14th November 
‘Cruising in the Baltic’- An inspirational, informative and entertaining talk by John Simpson, the Managing Director of ‘Sailing Rallies’. The Baltic is an enchanting cruising ground with many different cultures and countries all in close proximity. John’s talk covers; Passage planning for the North Sea and Kiel Kanal, places to visit in the Southern Baltic, provisioning, berthing & facilities available, what weather to expect and how to get your boat home again
