Not at all convinced the generic for flags is "bunting". I understand bunting to mean a set of (international?) code flags used to dress overall on high days and holidays. 'Flags' cannot be incorrect - or even simply club burgees and ensigns ...

Dates from my naval days Jamie, when those in the signals branch were known as "Bunts" (or more expressively "bunting tossers"Wink). Depends on which "authorities" one favours but, in my defence:
